Another hefty fuel price increase to hit motorists from Wednesday

More pain at the pumps for motorists this month as the price for both 93 and 95 unleaded petrol will increase significantly on Wednesday.

The 93 is up by R1.08c, and 95 is up by R1.14c per litre. Diesel will see an increase between R1.93c and R1.96 a litre.

These large petrol hikes are due to refinery shutdowns in the United States, and the increase in diesel is being attributed to a shortage and autumn refinery maintenance and reduced imports. Illuminating paraffin prices will rise by R1.51c a litre.
